Comparison of CRM Software

CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software used to be dominated by large enterprise software companies. Now we have lots of fantastic CRM alternatives especially in the Software-as-a-Service scene.

The 800-pound gorilla is Salesforce – a more “complete” package, expensive and more likely to be used only by larger organizations. But there are great alternatives to Salesforce, one is SugarCRM. Then you have a number of other alternative approaches to CRM, ranging from Highrise, a super-simple CRM, to more recent startups such as Close.io.

This is an openly editable sheet so please feel free to collaborate with us in this project. Your contributions are very important. Just enter any updates which you think could be beneficial to everyone.

Rob, I like the spreadsheet you’ve laid out. But I recently started using PayPanther, and I think it’s worthy of being added to the list. They are a free cloud-based software that offers CRM, invoicing, time tracking, project management, etc. I find their UI to be highly intuitive and easy to use.

Thanks for providing this information but there is a clud-based CRM offered by Banckle ( http://banckle.com/apps/crm/overview.html ) which is all in one solution for all your CRM needs. From sales pipeline, a contact database, email server to task manager, it covers all features. I would suggest you check it out.

    Rob,

Great start at your spreadsheet. You might want to look at http://www.ombud.com, which does a pretty good job at comparing most of these companies.

I also added a new column for integrated predictive analytics. To my knowledge, GreenRope’s Intelligent CRM is the only CRM on the market that does this out of the box.

There are other features you may want to add, depending on your desire to make an all-inclusive spreadsheet of capabilities. I’d look at integrated marketing automation, opportunity tracking, demographic and activity based lead scoring, ticketing systems, and knowledge management.

    Hope that helps!

Hi Rob, thanks for putting this spreadsheet together! I’ve added another CRM to the list and filled in the blanks. I’ll be back as we add more features to our CRM + Project Management software and will update the listing.

This is a great resource to have for anyone looking for the right CRM. Thanks again!
